John Henry Beck, 82, died Friday morning in Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Middle Amana, after a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Amana Community Church, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial: Amana Cemetery. Hoover-Valenntine Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a sister, Emma Moorcroft of San Francisco. Also surviving are two nephews, Ron and Lowell Moorcroft; two nieces, Margaret Blackford and Marilyn Moorcroft; and an adopted family of 34 years, Harvey and Karen Oehler, Chris Day, Yvonne and Jamie Jonas, and Julie Oehler.
